National Midwifery Education Standards Review

The development of national standards for midwifery education programs will play a major role in strengthening midwifery in Australia. The principles, requirements and processes that we develop within our standards are crucial for making sure that Australian midwives can provide high quality care in any situation and respond appropriately to the needs and wishes of women and their families.

The College invites you to be part of the consultation process regarding the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) draft National Standards for the Accreditation of Midwifery Education Programs in Australia.

You can download the consultation package here, please return the questionnaire to Liz Wilkes, the College Professional officer, professionalofficer@midwives.org.au.

Please contact the national office, 02 6230 7333 or professionalofficer@midwives.org.au if you would like us to send you a hard copy.

The closing date for returning the questionnaire is 30 June 2007.
